A local man was injured in a motorcycle crash on County Road 1 near West Liberty Tuesday night around 7:15.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that James Ducat, 35, of 618 East Pike Street, Jackson Center, was driving a 2012 Kawasaki Ninja (pictured) southbound on County Road 1 when he veered left of center on the curve near County Road 47.
Ducat then swerved off the left side of the road to avoid a northbound 2012 Honda CR-V operated by Kim Hoyles, 46, of 1775 Township Road 31 North, Bellefontaine.
The motorcycle then struck two culverts.
Ducat, who was wearing a helmet, suffered minor injuries. He was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Macochee Joint Ambulance District.
He was cited for failure to control.
The motorcycle suffered heavy damage.
Hoyles also swerved to avoid the motorcycle.
