Two arrested for weekend burglary; alert victim helps deputies

Two area residents were arrested on felony charges following a burglary near Zanesfield Saturday afternoon around 12:15. 

The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Anthony Hawkins (pictured left), 31, of 259 North Avenue, Plain City, entered a home at 5794 County Road 10.

The victim, Ken Mohr, provided deputies with a description of the suspect and his vehicle.

About 90 minutes later, the sheriff's office located the suspect and the vehicle nearby at 6499 County Road 10, Zanesfield.

Hawkins was charged with burglary, possession of drugs, and possession of drug abuse instruments.

His girlfriend, Amanda Nixon (pictured right), 27, of 6499 County Road 10, was charged with obstructing justice.

Both of them were lodged in the Logan County Jail.

Stolen items were recovered behind Nixon's home.
