Ohio Hi-Point FFA students win awards at skills classic

Ohio Hi-Point’s Animal Management and Professional Turf and Landscaping students placed third overall in the Northeastern Skills Classic last week.

The following students earned awards:

Austin Neeley (Benjamin Logan)- first place, Hand Lawn Mowing

Rachel Boyer (Urbana High School)- second place, Animal Care; second place, Aquarium Management

Hunter Pride (Benjamin Logan)- second place, Natural Resources

Daniel Trout (Graham)- second place, Walk Behind Mower

Hunter Pride (Benjamin Logan) and Austin Neeley (Benjamin Logan)- second place, Tree Transplanting Team

Anna Whitcher (Indian Lake)- third place, Natural Resources; fourth place, Animal Care

Daniel Trout (Graham)- sixth place, Hand Lawn Mowing

The classic took place at Maple Wood Career Center, in Ravenna, Ohio. Collectively, the students took home third place at the competition.
