A Tim Horton's employee performed a life-saving move at the Bellefontaine restaurant (pictured) Friday morning around ten o'clock.
Eyewitnesses report that a local man in his 80s started to choke on his food while eating with his son.
Tara Anderson, who's a first-shift baker at Tim Horton's, quickly responded and performed the Heimlich maneuver.
The man was checked at the scene by Bellefontaine Fire and EMS.
Tim Horton's owner Phil Beaupre praised Anderson for her quick actions.
Listen to his comments.
Beaupre has been in the restaurant business for 30 plus years. He also owns the Tim Horton's in Urbana.
Store employees did not know the elderly man's name.
