U-Turn on Route 68 leads to crash

A local driver attempting a U-Turn on Route 68 near County Road 37 (north of Bellefontaine) caused a two-vehicle wreck Tuesday morning around 5:50.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Daniel Comstock, 57, of Kenton, was driving a 2004 Acura SUV.

Comstock, who pulled off the edge of the road, attempted a U-Turn to head northbound.

He pulled into the path of a southbound '93 Toyota Camry driven by Ashley Jordan, 28, of 316 West Buckeye Street, Belle Center.

Jordan was unable to avoid Comstock's vehicle and struck the SUV.

No one was injured.

Comstock was cited for a U-Turn violation.

Both drivers were wearing their seat belts.

Each vehicle suffered moderate damage.
