The Logan County Board of Development Disabilities (DD) Board approved a modified mission statement, vision, and slogan Thursday.
The organization has been working for almost a year on modifying its mission. During an in-service day in October, 100 employees took part in helping develop the new mission. The organization took 20 examples and chose keywords to implement into the mission statement.
The new mission solidifies the board of DD's purpose and helps set the organization's values. The new mission, vision, and slogan will be used to set the 2014 goals.
The new mission, vision, and slogan follow:
Empowering people with developmental disabilities to be valued as contributing members of our community.
Individuals with developmental disabilities recognize possibilities, make choices, have enriched lives and are contributing members of our community.
A lifetime of dignity and opportunities
