The Logan County Joint Drug Task Force arrested two local women on
felony drug charges following a traffic stop on State Route 287 near NEX Wednesday afternoon around four o'clock.
Joanne Keating (pictured left), 28, of 6664 Crowl Road, DeGraff, and Megan Shoffner (pictured right), 24, of 445 North Main Street, Lakeview, were riding in a car driven by Tammy Clark, 45, of Park Street, Lakeview.
Keating and Shoffner were each charged with trafficking in heroin and possession of heroin, then lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Authorities recovered a bulk amount of black tar heroin.
Clark was cited for driving under suspension.
A male passenger, Derek Dircksen, 19, of Bellefontaine, was not charged.
The Joint Drug Task Force said the arrests were the result of an ongoing investigation of black tar heroin transported from Columbus into Logan County.
