The annual Logan County Cattle Association Banquet was held at Indian Lake Middle School Wednesday.
Each year the association gives out a Friend of Beef Award. This year’s recipient was the Bellefontaine Examiner. The Examiner received the award because it has been supportive of the agricultural community in Logan County.

D Rae King spoke about the Logan County Born & Raised Show. He reported that the show brings awareness to the county's beef and also raises donations for the kids. In 2012, the show raised $997 in supplies and money. So far this year, the show has raised $1,157.

2012 Logan County Cattle Association Scholarship winners were honored. Joel Penhorwood, Jill Wildermuth, Troy Hall, and Hillary Jackson received recognition.
Entertainment at the event was provided by the Benjamin Logan Jazz Band directed by Myles Bowers.
