Six defendants were sentenced and four pleaded guilty before Logan County Common Pleas Court Judge Mark O'Connor earlier this week.
Michael Williams (pictured), 35, of Bellefontaine, was sentenced to nine years in prison for rape. He was also classified as a Tier III sex offender and must report his address to the sheriff's office every 90 days for life.
In August, Williams was indicted for rape (F1), sexual battery (F3), and gross sexual imposition (F4).
On August 3rd, Williams was charged with two counts of rape following a brief investigation by the Bellefontaine Police Department.
Williams allegedly raped two Bellefontaine girls under the age of 15.
One of the victim's relatives reported the incident.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office and Logan County Children's Services assisted with the investigation.
In January, Williams pleaded guilty to rape.
Stephen Coe (pictured), 22, of Bellefontaine, was sentenced to four years in prison for robbery, possession of drugs, and burglary.
On July 16th, Coe suffered a broken leg moments after he committed an armed robbery at Village Pantry, 200 East Sandusky Avenue, around one a.m.
Coe walked into the gas station armed with a BB gun and demanded cash.
The clerk complied and Coe fled southeast from the business.
He suffered a broken right leg while running away.
Coe was holding his leg when an officer found him in the rear of 216 East Sandusky Avenue.
Coe told the officer, "I just did something stupid. I just robbed a gas station."
Police recovered the weapon and returned the money to the gas station.
Coe was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Bellefontaine Fire and EMS.
After he was treated and released, Coe was charged with a felony count of aggravated robbery and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
No one was injured in the store during the robbery.
On November 12th, Coe and Amanda Thompson, 25, of 1032 Heritage Court, were arrested on felony charges after a video camera proved they stole multiple items from an apartment.
They allegedly broke into 555 Newell Street, Apt. 40.
The Bellefontaine Police Department reports that Austin Moore, 20, and Chad Sims, 21, live at the apartment.
Coe was hanging out with Sims in the afternoon.
Moore told police that he was concerned about Coe stealing, which prompted him to set up the camera before he left for work around 2:45.
Sims then left for work around 3:00.
Moore returned home early Tuesday morning and noticed that his X-Box video game player and several games were stolen.
An X-Box video game player and a laptop computer owned by Sims were also missing.
The camera showed Coe and a female taking the items.
Coe was arrested around three a.m. and Thompson was taken into custody around 4:30 a.m.
Both of them were charged with burglary and lodged in the Logan County Jail.
All of the stolen items were recovered.
Wyatt Covington, 20, of Bellefontaine, was sentenced to three years in prison for robbery.
Ceaira Treen (pictured), 22, of Kenton, was sentenced to thirty days in the Logan County Jail, five years community control, the probation incentive program, and ordered to pay court costs and attorney fees for unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. She was also classified as a Tier II sex offender and must report her address to the sheriff's office every six months for 25 years.
In June, the Bellefontaine Police Department charged Treen with unlawful sexual contact with a minor.
The alleged victim is a Bellefontaine female under the age of 14.
The girl's mother contacted police on May 15th.
Last month, Treen pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
Cheryl Craig, 43, of Bellefontaine, was sentenced to seven days in the Logan County Jail, five years community control, the probation incentive program, and ordered to pay a $250 fine, court costs, and attorney fees for possession of drugs and theft.
Richard Steiner, 32, of Russells Point, was sentenced to five years community control and ordered to pay court costs and attorney fees for non-support of dependents.
Carolyn Deer, 38, of Dayton, pleaded guilty to complicity to possession of drugs and was sentenced to 15 months in the Ohio Reformatory for Women.
Jason Overholt, 34, of Bellefontaine, pleaded guilty to burglary.
Ronald Kensler, 47, of West Liberty, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault.
James Caudill, 49, of Bellefontaine, pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.
Presentence investigations were ordered and sentencings are scheduled for March 18th.
