Two local residents received drug-related charges following a traffic stop in Russells Point Tuesday night around 7:30.
The Russells Point Police Department stopped a vehicle driven by Heather Rhoads, 28, of 6755 State Route 366, Huntsville, on Main Street near Lincoln Boulevard.
Initially, police responded to the area on an equipment violation and suspicious activity complaint.
Officers report that Rhoads attempted to mislead them when answering questions.
After authorities observed criminal indicators, they requested a K-9 from the Waynesfield Police Department.
Officers then recovered a small amount of drugs and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Rhoads and passenger Douglas Johns, 32, of 6755 State Route 366, Huntsville, were each issued summons for possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
