Injury accident on Route 33; alcohol use suspected

A local driver was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Route 33 near Huntsville early Monday morning.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office responded to a wreck on 33 near County Road 37 just after four a.m.

Amanda Smith, 32, of 4000 Alpine Parkway, Lot B2, Zanesfield, was driving a 2001 Honda CR-V westbound on 33 when she went off the right of the road and struck an embankment, then went across 37 and hit a stop sign. The vehicle finally came to rest after striking another embankment.
