The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that James Mabry, 39, of 6916 Township Road 166, was driving a 2000 Oldsmobile Silhouette eastbound on 47 when he lost control on the ice, then went off the right side of the road and struck a tree.
Mabry, who was wearing his seat belt, was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Macochee Joint Ambulance District.
Mabry was cited for failure to control.
His van was towed from the scene.
The West Liberty Fire Department assisted deputies.
