A Springfield driver was killed in a one-vehicle accident in rural Champaign County Monday afternoon around 4:30.
The sheriff's office reports that Mirada Biniarz, 20, was driving a '99 Hyundai southbound in the 6500 block of Zimmerman Road (between Westville and St. Paris) when she lost control and struck a guardrail.
Biniarz was transported to Urbana Mercy Hospital where she passed away.
Passengers Bryan Hall, 22, of Springfield, a 3-year-old girl, and a 3-month-old boy were treated at the scene.
St. Paris Fire and EMS and Urbana EMS assisted at the scene.
Deputies continue their investigation.
It's the second fatal accident in Champaign County this year. Both fatalities were in the 6000 block of Zimmerman Road.
A St. Paris woman was killed on Zimmerman Road last Thursday.
