Local driver involved in Hardin County fatality

A northeast Ohio man was killed and a local man suffered serious injuries in a head-on crash west of Kenton on State Route 67 near Township Road 119 in Hardin County Monday afternoon around 2:30.

The Findlay Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Ricky Lee Milliron, 56, of 109 Buckeye Street, Belle Center, was driving a 2005 Ford Excursion eastbound on 67 when he drove left of center and collided with a westbound 2010 Toyota Camry operated by John Zrelak, 55, of Cuyahoga Falls.

Zrelak was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital by BMRT EMS and was pronounced dead.

Milliron suffered serious injuries and was transported to Hardin Memorial Hospital by BAP EMS.

Weather appears to have played a role in the crash.

Both men were wearing their seat belts.

Both vehicles suffered heavy front end damage and were towed from the scene.

The Hardin County Sheriff's Office, McGuffey Fire, Kenton Fire, and Richland Township Fire assisted at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.
