Four local teens that reportedly vandalized a dozen mailboxes southeast of Bellefontaine late Saturday night face additional charges.
Initially, the Logan County Sheriff's Office charged Lane Kiser, 16, of 120 Blair Avenue, Bellefontaine, Caleb Johnson, 16, of 903 North Main Street, Apt. 3, Bellefontaine, Isaiah Miller, 15, of 223 West Sandusky Avenue, Bellefontaine, and Juan Recinos, 16, of 115 Jerviss Street, Lakeview, with criminal damaging.
The teens allegedly vandalized ten mailboxes on Township Road 55 and two mailboxes on County Road 1.
Deputies responded to the 6000 block of Township Road 55 Saturday night around 11:25.
Nearly two hours later, the Bellefontaine Police Department saw a car speeding in the 400 block of South Main Street.
The officer conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Detroit Street and Lake Avenue.
Kiser was the driver. He was cited for speed.
All four boys were issued summons for curfew violation and possession of marijuana.
After police saw a baseball bat in the car, the teens were turned over to the sheriff's office.
