Logan County Solid Waste Management District Coordinator Alan Hale was honored at the West Liberty Council meeting Monday night.

Council members praised Hale for implementing the 24-hour recycling center in West Liberty.
The village was already doing curbside recycling. Hale contacted West Liberty and several other villages and townships a few years ago about offering recycling around the clock. The plan has led to a surge in recycling countywide.
Logan County offers fourteen recycling centers. You can see more at http://www.logancountyrecycles.com/
As one council member said, "Alan is doing his part for the planet and he's saving people money and changing attitudes everywhere he goes."
Hale announced his retirement last November. He was rehired and plans on working until late summer/early fall.
