A drunk driver going the wrong direction on Route 33 caused an injury accident west of Route 68 Saturday night around 6:50.
The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Gerald Dapore, 52, of 9761 Mauger Street, Lakeview, was driving a '99 Buick LeSabre eastbound in the westbound lanes when he collided head-on with a 2012 Toyota Prius operated by Elizabeth Patton, 34, of Columbus.
Patton, who tried to avoid the oncoming car, suffered minor injuries. She was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital by Bellefontaine Fire and EMS.
Dapore was not injured. He was cited for OVI and failure to drive in marked lanes.
Both vehicles suffered heavy damage.
