An Indian Lake teen and former JDC escapee was arrested on a felony charge after he allegedly stole a bicycle from his neighbor's Chippewa residence over the weekend.
Caleb Jacobs (pictured), 18, of 11362 Oneida Path, Lakeview, entered an unattached garage at 11322 Mohawk Path and took the bike. The theft happened between Friday night and Saturday morning.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that a witness saw Jacobs riding the bicycle at an Indian Lake gas station Tuesday night around six o'clock.
Deputies responded and took Jacobs into custody. He was charged with breaking and entering, then lodged in the Logan County Jail.
Jacobs told authorities that he had permission to ride the bicycle.
Last March, Jacobs and fellow teens Danny Ellis Jr. and Devante Smith escaped from the Logan County JDC after attacking two corrections officers. The three teens were caught the following day.
