A drunk driver was arrested after a traffic stop in Russells Point Friday night around 7:45.
Initially, a deputy from the Logan County Sheriff's Office transporting a prisoner notified officers of a possible drunk driver on Route 33 near Sunnyside Avenue in a 2011 Jeep.
The Russells Point Police Department stopped the vehicle at 33 and Lincoln Boulevard.
The driver, Alexa Barber, 28, of DeGraff, showed signs of impairment.
Officers found drug paraphernalia and open containers in her vehicle.
Barber failed field sobriety tests.
She refused to submit a urine test at the Logan County Jail.
Barber was charged with OVI, open container, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was lodged in the jail.
Her vehicle was impounded.
