Benjamin Logan FFA recognizes members, supporters

The Benjamin Logan FFA recently held their annual banquet to showcase the chapter’s accomplishments from the past year.

Children from the Western Neighborhood Outreach Center were invited to join the students and their family members for dinner before the banquet ceremony.

The members and their families listened to Jill Smith and her speech about agriculture.

The chapter recognized Shyan Hefner, Rhiannon Rhodes, Landon Wenger, and Joel Workman for earning their State FFA Degree. Kris Ackley, Darby Eades, and Kaylene Harpest were also recognized for earning their American FFA Degree.

The chapter inducted Iona Lockwood, Mike and DeDe Doss, and Miller Graphics into Benjamin Logan FFA Honorary Membership for their continued support and dedication toward the chapter.

The chapter acknowledged Jacob Smith, Grace Deardruff, Joel Doss, Elanie McWade, and Addie Barns for being the top 5 fruit salesmen of the annual fruit sale held in the fall.

The chapter recognized Carter Stewart and Mia Coleman as Star Freshmen going above and beyond as first-year members.

Chance Frater received the Star Sophomore for his work ethic in many FFA events.

Landon Wenger was awarded Star Junior with his outstanding work ethic within his officer position as well as his Supervised Agricultural Experience.

Sarah Seeley was named Star Chapter Service recipient for her Western Neighborhood Outreach program.

Shy Hefner and her horse Sugar were also awarded Star Chapter Service Award for their outstanding participation in several FFA events.

Abby Austin was named Benjamin Logan FFA Star in Agribusiness for her work with TSC and Belle Printing.

At the conclusion of the program the new 2018-2019 Benjamin Logan FFA officers were recognized: President Landon Wenger, Vice President Chance Frater, Secretary Peyton Derr, Treasurer Emma Wenger, Reporter LeAnn Regula, Sentinel Grace Deardurff, and Student Advisor Ireland Godsey.
