Ridgemont swears in two board members, recognizes the board for service (Audio included)

The Ridgemont Board of Education swore in a couple members Thursday evening.

Corey Ledley was sworn in after being reelected to the board in November and Paige Wallace was sworn in after being elected to her first term.

Board officers were appointed. Eric Hill was elected president, Ledley was named vice president, and Jerry Turner was selected at treasurer pro tempore.

The board members were recognized as part of School Board Appreciation Month. The returning members each received a certificate from the Ohio School Boards Association.

The purchase of a 2018 3500 Reg Tradesman 4X4 with accessories was purchased from Nelson Auto Group for $29,284. The vehicle will be used as a maintenance truck by the district.

Interim Co-Superintendent Dr. Suzanne Darmer comments on the meeting.

Brian Claybaugh received a supplemental contract to be the junior high/high school assistant track coach.


An anonymous donation was accepted and $150 was received from Taylor's Way in memory of Taylor Carder.

The Ridgemont Board of Education will meet again on February 22nd at 5 pm.
