Pedestrian killed near AGC

A local man riding a skateboard was killed in a two-vehicle crash on State Route 47 near AGC in Bellefontaine Monday night around 10:55.

The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Travis Ramos, 20, of Bellefontaine, was riding a skateboard westbound on 47.

He was struck by a westbound 2006 Honda Accord driven by Timothy Wilson Jr., 27, of Bellefontaine.

Ramos was ejected from his skateboard.

He was then struck by an eastbound 2016 Hyundai Elantra operated by Charles Palmer, 43, of Bellefontaine.

Ramos was pronounced dead at the scene.

Wilson and Palmer were not injured.

State Route 47 was closed for about four hours.

The Bellefontaine Police Department, Bellefontaine Fire and EMS, and Logan County Coroner's Office assisted at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.

It's the ninth fatal crash in Logan County this year.
