Zanesfield Council prepares for 2018 (Audio & video included)

Zanesfield Council received an update on the village's storm water drainage project Monday night.

Logan County Engineer Scott Coleman gave an update on Phase Four of the project. He informed council that the village will have to reapply for grant money in October 2018 to try and fund the project. The goal is to begin that phase of the project by 2019.

Council approved the purchase of new children's books for the Sloan Library. The books will be purchased from the library fund.

Councilwoman Christy Nichols resigned. With her resignation, it meant that council would not make quorum for its January meeting. The terms for council members Dr. Michael Failor and Mike Coder will end December 31st. Council quickly appointed Glenna Theis to council so January's meeting could take place. Two more council members will have to be appointed after January 1st for Zanesfield to have a full council.

Justin Bo Johns was sworn in as mayor. He will take office on January 2nd.

Mayor Heather Clapsaddle comments on the meeting.

Zanesfield Council will meet again on January 2nd at 7 pm.
