Reckless driver arrested for rolling domestic

Daniel RobertsonA reckless driver was arrested on multiple charges following a rolling domestic dispute with his live-in girlfriend Monday afternoon around 4:30.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Daniel Robertson, 45, of rural Belle Center, drove erratically and threatened his girlfriend after he picked her up from work.

Daniel and the girlfriend got into an argument regarding her oldest son.

Robertson reportedly attempted to force the victim to choose between her son and himself.

After she refused, Daniel became irate and drove recklessly.

His vehicle reached speeds around 110 miles per hour on State Route 117.

He then slammed on the brakes and drove into a field.

Robertson threatened to crash into a tree or utility pole.

He even pointed out specific trees or poles to strike.

Daniel drove off the roadway into a field two more times.

He eventually stopped in Belle Center.

Deputies responded to Murray Griffin Park.

Robertson was charged with aggravated menacing and domestic violence.

He was also served a warrant from Union County.

Robertson was lodged in the Logan County Jail.

No one was injured.
