Cocaine user arrested on felony drug charges downtown

David FrazierA city man was arrested on felony drug charges near Brown Park Wednesday morning around 12:15.

The Bellefontaine Police Department reports that David Frazier, 32, was walking northbound on Fountain Place.

Frazier looked back at a nearby officer several times.

Moments later, the officer stopped to talk to Frazier.

Authorities learned that Frazier had an active warrant out of Champaign County.

When police asked if Frazier had anything illegal, he admitted to having a syringe in his pocket.

Officers then searched David and found a cigarette container in his left front pants pocket.

Cocaine was recovered in the container.

Frazier told police that he used cocaine Tuesday evening.

Frazier was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug abuse instruments.

He was also served the failure to appear warrant.

Frazier was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
