Twenty-third Run to Educate raises money for local education (Audio & video included)

  • The 23rd annual Run to Educate took place Friday evening.

The race started and finished at Bellefontaine High School's AcuSport Stadium.

101 runners participated.

The youngest runners were nine-year-olds Elliott Butler of Bellefontaine and Elise Longshore.

The oldest runners were 70-year-old Steve Jenkins of Bellefontaine and 64-year-old Jerry Wenger of West Liberty.

Eric Tom of the Logan County Education Foundation explains what the money raised is used for and about the race.

The overall winner of the race was Nate Murphy of Bellefontaine (18:28).

The top girl finisher was 15-year-old Brooke McClellan of Bellefontaine (20:14).
