The Logan County Mayors' Association met in the Belle Center Municipal Building Wednesday evening.
County Commissioner Dustin Wickersham reported on the recently formed Land Bank and its advantages in dealing with abandoned properties in our communities. He also updated the mayors on the county's port authority and its potential as an economic development tool.
Director of the LUC Planning Commission David Gulden covered a variety of zoning issues and updates as well as plans to relocate their office to TRC by Labor Day.
Logan County Sheriff's Office Sergeant John Godwin discussed traffic patrols throughout the county.
Chamber of Commerce President Paul Benedetti discussed the investment of over $100 million into Logan County's business and industry. The county is part of the nation's focus on smart technology and autonomous vehicles.
The mayors' association unanimously voted to hold the countywide Beggars' Night on October 26th from 6 pm to 7:30 pm.
The round table discussions included aggregate gas and electric rates, housing concerns, and code enforcement issues.
The next meeting will be held in West Mansfield on July 19th at 6:30 pm and the following meeting will held in Bellefontaine City Council Chambers on October 18th at 6:30 pm.
