Benjamin Logan Elementary hosts annual science fair (Audio included)

Benjamin Logan Elementary School had over 150 young scientists participate in the school's 22nd annual science fair Thursday.

The students ranged from 1st to 4th grades.

Students were able to explore a topic that interest them, develop a hypothesis, and then conduct investigations to prove or disprove their educated guess. Teachers and parents assisted students with their projects.

Lottie BodinDuring the school day, over 60 judges reviewed the projects.

The following projects received awards:

Pheasants Forever - Wildlife, Flora, and Fauna related

Shelby Watkins - 4th grade - Plants in the Kitchen

Mary Rutan Foundation - Health related

Kierstyn Johnston and Sidney Sallee - 4th grade - Have I Lost My Mind?

Powell Willoby - 4th grade - Growing Bacteria

Kelly ForsytheLogan Soil & Water Conservation District - Soil and Water Conservation related

Junah Tingley - 1st grade - Roots Up or Down - 1st place

Cara France - 1st grade - Water or Milk - 2nd place

Hailey Kennedy - 4th grade - Wet My Plants - 1st place

Kelly Forsythe - 4th grade - Fertilizer in the Forecast - 2nd place

Logan County Electrical Cooperative - Energy related

Johnathon Beikman - 2nd grade - Electric Playdough

Drew Moore - 4th grade - Bright Lights

Honda Nominees - Engineering related (Nominees will present at the high school science fair on Tuesday and will get to learn from Honda engineers)

Winnie Bodin - 3rd grade - Making It Ship Shape

Utah Coleman - 3rd grade - Which Boat Holds More Rocks

Rylan Norveil - 3rd grade - 2L Bottle Rockets

Drew Moore - 4th grade - Bright Lights

Candin Watson - 4th grade - Edible Electricity
