Mad River Theater Works performing at Holland Theatre (Audio included)

Mad River Theater Works is proud to present Everybody's Hero: The Jackie Robinson Story this Friday at the historic Holland Theatre.

The production will be shown on Friday at 7:30 p.m. and admission will be $12.00 and $17.00.

Mad River Theater Works was founded in 1978 and has created 27 original plays. This company is a professional touring ensemble from Zanesfield. They compose original plays and music for productions that they tour around the country. Mad River Theater Works explores contemporary issues in their productions and many of their plays focus on Civil Rights.

Everybody's Hero: The Jackie Robinson Story follows the life of baseball Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson and his struggle against racial prejudices. Throughout the story, audience members will see how Robinson was a progressive member of the Civil Rights Movement.

The play was written by Jeff Hooper and music was composed by Bob Lucas. Director of the play is Charlie Henson.
