High winds push barn into roadway, knock down trees

There was a weather-related accident on County Road 117 near County Road 142 (near Ridgeway) Tuesday night around 9:45.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that high winds blew a barn into the roadway.

A driver struck the barn.

No one was injured.

Deputies have not released the driver's name.

There were several downed trees across Logan and Champaign counties late Tuesday into early Wednesday.

The trees have been cleared from the roadways.

The high winds caused scattered power outages for DP&L customers in both counties.
