A drunk driver was arrested near Bellefontaine Tuesday night around 8:30.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Nathan Daughenbaugh, 40, of Carey, ran out of gas on Route 68 just north of County Road 57.
His 2009 Kia was partially parked on the roadway.
A nearby resident gave Daughenbaugh a ride to get gas.
Deputies noticed a strong odor of alcohol on Daughenbaugh.
He was also unsteady on his feet.
Daughenbaugh said he left Findlay and was headed to a farmhouse in Carey to celebrate Christmas.
Daughenbaugh refused field sobriety tests.
His blood alcohol level was .127.
Daughenbaugh was charged with OVI, expired registration, and driving under suspension.
He was lodged in the Logan County Jail.
