A local driver suffered serious injuries in a one-vehicle crash northwest of Bellefontaine on Township Road 56 Monday afternoon around three o'clock.
The Marysville Post of the State Highway Patrol reports that Angela Pyles, 47, of 1000 Garfield Avenue, Lot 86, Bellefontaine, was driving a 2000 Mercury Mystique southbound on 56 when she lost control, then went off the left side of the road and struck one of the concrete bridge supports below Route 33.
Pyles was transported to the helipad by Bellefontaine Fire and EMS.
She was transported to OSU Medical Center by MedFlight.
Her car suffered disabling damage.
Authorities are trying to determine if Pyles was wearing a seat belt.
Troopers continue their investigation.
