The DeGraff Village Council convened in special session earlier this week at the municipal building.
The purpose of the special meeting at the request of chairman Ron Pope was to make recommendations to village council to appoint two individuals to fill the vacated Board of Public Affairs Trustees unexpired seats.
Council voted to appoint Bob Bortree to fill the vacated seat and term previously held by Barry Clayton.
Clayton’s term would have expired at the end of 2017. He submitted his resignation on July 11th.
Council also voted to appoint Paul Snow to fill the vacated seat and unexpired term of Noah Staley. Staley had been filling the unexpired term of John Freese since November 19, 2013. The current term will be until December 31, 2015.
DeGraff Village Council will meet again on Tuesday, August 19th at 7 p.m.
