A local driver suffered serious injuries in a car/semi crash on Route 33 near Township Road 239 Friday morning around 7:20.
The Logan County Sheriff's Office reports that Clinton Daines, 22, of 4039 Township Road 164, West Liberty, was driving a 1993 Nissan 180SX eastbound on 33 when he went left of center and collided with a westbound 2013 Kenworth semi operated by Anthony Johnson, 36, of Fredericktown.
The Nissan hit the trailer.
Daines suffered serious injuries. He was transported by MedFlight to Grant Medical Center.
Authorities are trying to determine if he was wearing his seat belt.
Johnson, who was wearing his seat belt, was not injured.
The car suffered heavy damage.
The trailer was towed from the scene.
The Indian Joint Fire District and Indian Lake EMS assisted at the scene.
Deputies continue their investigation.
