Urbana University President Kirk Peterson formally announced today several key members of his senior team, including four vice presidents. “The University is truly blessed with the leadership team we have assembled. This group brings a wealth of experience in transformational higher education leadership. Together, we are committed to making this institution thrive, continuing personal instruction while developing innovative programs that are affordable,” said Peterson.
Shah Hasan, Ph.D. - Provost and Chief Academic Officer
Dr. Shah Hasan is a nationally-recognized consultant in organizational change and has had a long career in education at The College of Wooster, The Ohio State University, Kansas State University, West Virginia University, Franklin University, Columbus State Community College, Otterbein University, Ohio Dominican University, and now Urbana University. He was initially recruited to serve as Dean and Professor of Management at the College of Business, and was most recently appointed Provost and Chief Academic Officer. Hasan earned a B.A. from the College of Wooster, an M.A. from The Ohio State University, an M.B.A. from Southern New Hampshire University, and a Ph.D. from Ohio University.
John Anglea – Vice President for Administrative Services/CFO
Anglea has a 40 year track record of successful financial management, including 26 years at Cedarville University, where he oversaw over $150 million in construction projects and managed an operating budget of more than $70 million. John has a B.S. in Accounting from Husson University and an M.B.A. from the University of Dayton.
Dave Ormsbee – Vice President for Enrollment Management
Dave brings more than 30 years of experience in higher education to his role. During his tenure at Cedarville University, he transformed the school from a small, regional undergraduate institution of 1200 students, to a nationally-known school with 3,400 students. In addition, Dave helped establish the School of Pharmacy, the first doctoral program at Cedarville. Dave has a B.S. in Chemistry from Cedarville University and an M.B.A. from Syracuse University.
Jan Hillman – Vice President for Advancement
Hillman brings a 35 year track record of success in fundraising, strategic planning and board management at institutions, including Wright State University, Clark State Community College and Kettering Medical Center. Jan’s past accomplishments include exceeding eight figure fundraising campaign goals, founding non-profits and foundations, facilitating more than 130 strategic plans and providing board development for more than 60 non-profits. Jan has a bachelor’s degree from Kent State University and a master’s degree in sociology from the University of Toledo.
