West Liberty Council approves changes to downtown parking (Audio included)

West Liberty Council adopted an ordinance Monday that will change some of the parking in downtown.
The ordinance will remove two parking spots on the north side of East Baird Street at the intersection of Detroit Street. The centerline will be moved over ten feet and a median will be painted to aid with semi turning. The work will be done in collaboration with ODOT and should be done by April or May.

Council approved the hiring of Brandon Myers as a part-time police officer. Before Myers can take the position he must pass a refresher course.

Officials from the Central Collection Agency (CCA) will be in the village on March 11th from 2-7 and March 22 from 10-1. The CCA will answer any questions that residents may have about their municipal tax. The CCA will also help residents fill out their municipal tax for free.
A finance committee meeting is scheduled for March 4th at 6 pm.
West Liberty Council will conduct a joint meeting with the Liberty Township Trustees on March 10th at 7 pm.
