Bar patron arrested for injuring Moore's Cafe owner

Kandale HarrisonA patron at Moore's Cafe, 111 South Detroit Street, was arrested on a felony charge after he struck and injured owner Jane Moore, 89, of Bellefontaine, Friday morning around 2:10.

The Bellefontaine Police Department reports that Kandale Harrison, 37, of Columbus, was asked to leave the bar after getting into a fight with Edwin Ford, 37, of Bellefontaine.

A few minutes later, Harrison returned to the bar.

When Moore told Harrison he wasn't welcome, he struck her in the right shoulder and knocked her to the ground.

Harrison then left the bar.

He was located upstairs at Tonya Gorham's 824 North Main Street residence.

Harrison was charged with felonious assault and lodged in the Logan County Jail.

He was uncooperative during the arrest and police threatened to use their taser.

Moore, who suffered a broken right arm, was transported to Mary Rutan Hospital.
