Christmas in the Air

The Hardin County Homemaker’s will be celebrating “Christmas in the Air” on Tuesday, December 6th beginning at 9:30 AM at Walnut Grove Methodist Church. Registration will be by the Nite Owls Homemaker’s Club. Evelyn Van Buskirk, President of the Homemaker’s Council, will welcome the group after roll call. The mornings program will be “Foods for the Holidays” by Karen and Emily Harpster followed by “Happy Holidays Dollars and Cents” by Jacque Sperling from the Good Intentions Homemakers Club. She will show us how to decorate your home for the holidays with things you already have or can purchase to add to what you already have and within your budget.
The lunch will be served by the Open Door Sunday School class of Walnut Grove and will include chicken casserole, jello salad, assorted Christmas cookies and drinks.
The afternoon program will start out with the Kenton Junior High show choir “Dimensions” under the direction of Sue Buroker. They will share with us their Christmas song collection. At 1:00 PM Terri Wagner, manager and Laura Davidson, sales associate from the Bon Worth women’s fashion store located in the Lima Mall will present the style show. We will have 5 Homemakers modeling 3 different outfits they chose from the store. Styles for the holidays will be casual, business and special occasion. To close out the day will be the installation of the 2017 officers by past president Connie Myers. Dismissal will be at 3:00 PM with the drawing for the Homemaker Club gift baskets.
